The Holy Quran Simply

A simple English translation

Quran

The Holy Quran

The Holy Quran is a divine message from God for all Mankind. Its message is neither 'Eastern or Western'. It extends beyond national borders, culture, rich or poor, race, gender or creed.

Muslims believe the Holy Quran is the last Revelation of The Book of God, progressively revealed for mankind to the Divine Messenger Muhammad during the many miracle visitations he experienced and messages given to him by Angel Gabriel. The Holy Quran includes mentions of Divine Messengers common to all Three One-God Religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, including Abraham, Moses, Noah, and Jesus before the time of Muhammad. This simple yet compelling fact clearly highlights 'The Link' between these 3-major global religions and how any rifts between man are unnecessary because we are all essentially part of the same family of people under God. Almighty God did not make us all different and unique because we should be trying compete against or outdo one another. He made as all different and unique so that we may get to know one another and strive together for common peace and oasis on Earth.

Among many genuine, honest, sincere and peace-loving Muslims, the Quran is viewed as the unalterable word of God, because sincere Muslims believe it is God Himself who is the author of the Quran. Muhammad was a decent and principled man to whom the Holy Quran was first revealed by the Angel Gabriel. Every chapter [Sura] of the Holy Quran conveys this Divine Message.

For this reason in Islam and Muslim culture and society, disrespecting The Holy Quran, burning it, tearing it, soiling it, mishandling it, or even reading it under the influence of intoxicating substances or alcohol, may be profoundly offensive to Muslims, and is seen as not only dishonouring the Divine Messenger, Muhammad, but also dishonouring God Himself.
